Iraqi CP condemns the threats of aggression against Syria

Iraqi Communist Party condemns the threats
 of aggression against Syria
It seems that launching a "limited" military strike on Syria in the coming days is a foregone conclusion after US President Obama announced his decision in this regard and referred it to Congress to obtain its consent, which is not binding on him.
Thus, the war is imminent, and will result in more tragedies for the brotherly Syrian people and aggravate their pain and suffering. It would also threaten to fan the flames of bloody ethnic and sectarian conflicts to Syria's neighbours and the whole region. It is clear that our country will be among the most vulnerable to this threat, due to the existing conditions, environment and potential that would enable the terrorist forces to act across the common border.
While condemning aggression, armed attacks and war as means of resolving conflicts, we point out that the threat by the United States and its close allies to direct a military strike on Syria, under the pretext that it used chemical weapons, constitutes a violation of international legitimacy and the laws and norms of human rights. Any action to punish those who use this barbaric weapon, which really is a crime against humanity, must be based on international legitimacy and UN Resolutions, and should come after confirming the use of this weapon and identifying the perpetrator.
The forces of peace and democracy in the world are, in our opinion, still capable of curbing the aggression by intensifying their anti-war campaigns and escalating popular pressure.
While reaffirming our solidarity with the Syrian people, and our support for their struggle to achieve the right to choose the system that they desire, to seize and exercise their democratic rights and live in safety and freedom, and to stop all forms of repression and attacks on lives and property, we stress the fact that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria, and no substitute for securing an equitable dialogue between the different conflict parties through expediting the convening of the Geneva 2 Conference.

Iraqi CP condemns murder of three cadres of CP of Mexico

Solidarity message from the Iraqi Communist Party

to the Communist Party of Mexico

7th August 2013
To: The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Mexico
Dear Comrades,
We strongly condemn the barbaric crime of the brutal torture and murder of comrade Raymundo Velázquez Flores, Secretary General of the Regional Committee of your fraternal party in the state of Guerrero, along with comrades Samuel Vargas Ramirez and Miguel, who were leaders of the Revolutionary League of Peasants of the South.
This cowardly act is a desperate attempt by the enemies of the Mexican people and working class to physically eliminate outstanding party cadres who have dedicated their lives to the cause of freedom, democracy, social justice and socialism. We are confident that this heinous crime will only strengthen the resolve of Mexican Communists and their determination to continue the struggle waged by the martyred comrades.
Please convey our wholehearted condolences to the families and comrades of the three martyrs. On this sad occasion, we reaffirm our solidarity with your fraternal party and the just struggle of the Mexican people and working class.

Statement of the The Egyptian Communist Party

The Egyptian Communist Party

Morsi's Speech hammers the last Nail in the Coffin of his Regime and his Group

The recent speech of (President) Morsi came shortly before the expiration of the forty-eight hours ultimatum indicating the size of disregard and lack of respect, if not hostility, of this man and his group towards all classes and sects of the Egyptian people who massively took to the streets in the thirtieth of June, unanimously in an unprecedented popular rising with unrivaled numbers. He set aside the Egyptians' hope for a peaceful and smooth transition of power as demanded by these masses in by far the biggest revolution of human history, as witnessed by all observers and analysts.
He refused to respond to any of the demands of these masses and decided to hold fast to power and even being ready to die for power.
Perhaps, the word much repeated in this inauspicious speech was "LEGITIMACY" (198 times), but no one knows which meaning of legitimacy he meant!!
Does it mean that his being free to destroy the country's economy, cracking down on its institutions, detracting its sovereignty and sabotaging its national unity?
Does it mean he stays roosting on the heart of the homeland, although he was completely rejected?
The source of legitimacy is the people; all institutions of the state derive their legitimacy from the will of this people. It was clear the size and extant of its strength. In addition, this popular will, which is the essence of democracy and source of any legitimacy, only asked for an absolutely true democratic constitutional demand, i.e., holding early presidential elections, a tradition well known in all democratic experiences.
This speech, in fact, was not directed to the Egyptian people, as they are no longer a concern of his. It was directed to his people and family of terrorists and their supporters to push them into more bloodshed of Egyptians, depending on what he thought of their numerical power and old terrorist expertise.
As for his being supported by the U.S. or any other foreign powers for his existence – stressing his betrayal and infidelity of his country – he was disappointed because no one could ever stand in the face of the people, no matter what strength he might have. This people would never accept a ruler who rejects them no matter who stood behind him and supported him. No one in the world can accept to deal with a ruler rejected by his own people, regardless of his importance.
We hold Morsi and his group responsible for any violence and any Egyptian bloodshed or would be shed and reaffirm that they will pay dearly thereof. This blood shall increase Egyptians' insistence to continue revolution till they get rid of them.
Therefore, our party calls the hero masses of the Egyptian people to continue demonstrations in streets and squares, and immediately start comprehensive disobedience, besieging all centers of government including ministries, bureaus of governorates, councils of cities and municipalities etc. as this is the only way to eliminate all maneuvers and compromises that can empty the popular revolution of its content.
Long live the struggle of the Egyptian people!!!
Long live the Revolution!!!
Death to terrorists, enemies of the people, enemies of life!!!
